"Our friends and family were very impressed with our first dance and more importantly Greg and I had so much fun. We
laughed through the whole thing and our guests cheered
when Greg twirled me across the floor." Mrs. Kim F.

"Hi Lee Ann,
I just wanted to thank you so much for all your help with our wedding song. We got so many compliments on how good we looked. We ended up practicing at my gym one night. I also got those clear straps and they were a big help. Thanks again!

Mrs. Rebecca"
"...I have to thank you!! I can't even tell you how many compliments we got on our dance!! My favorite pictures are the ones where you can see people's expressions in the backgroud! "Our first dance went SO well (although we were a bit more stiff than we'd hoped and I had to tread carefully so as not to step on the back of my dress, but nobody seemed to notice but us) and our guests loved it!!! The promenades with the little turns in the middle got lots of oooohhhs and aaaahhs. Then the dip at the end really got them cheering and clapping, so it was wonderful:-)

Mike's dance with his mom was beautiful- he made me so proud leading her around the dance floor- and his mom got all teary-eyed as did much of the crowd, so it was great!

Mike and I can't thank you enough for all of your help- you're the best :-)" Mrs. Beth H.

  • Q: How many lessons will we need?
A: That depends. Do you just want to get through your first dance? Then three lessons, plus practice on your part, should make those 3-5 minutes bearable. Do you want to dance all night? Start at least 6 months before your wedding.
  • Q: Will the style of my wedding gown affect our dance?
A: Yes. It should be 1/2" off the floor all the way around so you don't step on it when dancing backwards. If your seamstress doesn't cooperate (for some reason they want your dress dragging all over the floor), I can recommend someone near the studio who will bustle or hem it to your specifications. Also, if the bodice is tightly fitted or strapless, you may not be able to raise your arms up to do a twirl. So we'll just have to modify the twirl so you don't have to raise your arms.
  • Q: Do you offer group lessons?
A: In a way. If you want to bring some friends or family members to your lessons, feel free! It's the same price per lesson whether it's just you, or you and your wedding party. I can comfortably fit 4 or 5 couples at a time in the dance room.
  • Q: Do we need special shoes?
A: You should carry in some clean, smooth-soled (not rubber soled) shoes and change in the foyer. This will help your dancing, as well as protect our floors. If the bride wants to dance in her wedding shoes, the groom should dance in his socks, so as not to scuff her shoes by accident.
  • Q: Should we bring our own music or do you have some there?
A: Both. Bring any music that you want to learn to dance to. Even though music changes constantly, the metronome stays the same, so there's always some type of dance to fit every song, even if we have to modify the steps a little.
Q: What are your certifications?

A: I'm certified to teach ballroom dancing through the National Dance Council of America. The initials after my name, A.N.A.D.T.A. stand for Associate, North American Dance Teacher's Association. Next step is Licenciate, then Fellow. They are equivalent to Bronze, Silver, and Gold levels.
